For a fair and healthy living!

The largest producer and therefore also exporter of flaxseeds is Canada. There are varieties that produce yellow seed, and there are varieties that produce brown seed. Flax is often used for the production of linen and the seed is used as food, for example by pressing oil from it. The Benelux and Germany are the largest importers of flaxseeds in Europe.

Flaxseeds are used to extract oil (flaxseed oil), as animal feed, but in recent years it has also been increasingly used by consumers and the bakery industry. The seeds contain a lot of fiber and are an excellent part of a healthy diet. The bakery industry uses these seeds in bread, cakes and other baked goods. Consumers often use the seeds as an ingredient in yogurt or smoothies.
